Hindlip
Anglican: St James.
The 15th century west tower and some masonry in the nave are all that remain of the medieval church. A new church was built in 1863 by W J Hopkins for the first Lord Hindlip, of the Allsop brewing family. In 1887 the second Lord Hindlip engaged Lewis Sheppard to enlarge the church. St James lies in the grounds of Hindlip Hall, the Headquarters of West Mercia Police. No longer a parish church it serves as the West Mercia Police Chapel.
