Knighton on Teme


Anglican: St Michael

An isolated Norman church about 1 mile west of the village of Newnham Bridge. The nave and chancel are 12th century with a westward extension in the 13th century. There is work from later periods and the church was restored in the late 19th century. St Michael’s is featured in Betjeman’s Best British Churches (2011) and is usually open during daylight hours. (Ref Parish Website April 2014.)
