The Worcestershire and Dudley Historic Churches Trust is pleased to be teaming up with our colleagues in the Herefordshire and Shropshire Trusts for an exciting Come and Sing event at Dore Abbey in Tenbury Wells on 13th June 2026. Whilst part of Worcestershire, Tenbury is in the diocese of Hereford and is very close to the Shropshire border, and therefore provides a perfect venue for a collaborative event between the three trusts.
Those interested in recording their church’s artifacts and improving their security might want to know that the Arts Society has again taken any remaining local branches of church recorders under their wing. In a letter sent to Historic Church Trusts across England, the society encourages all those churches interested in creating or updating a Church Record to contact their local representative.
Calling all cyclists, walkers, horse-riders – and those who love Worcestershire’s countryside and churches!
This year’s big annual fundraising event Ride & Stride takes place on Saturday 13th September. The idea is simple: cycle/walk/ride/drive to as many churches as you can on the day, and ask your friends, family and neighbours to sponsor you. It’s really easy to take part, you can choose your own route (or use one of our suggested ones) and it’s a great way to explore parts of Worcestershire that you might not have seen before. Signing up beforehand is optional but recommended. Everything you need is at www.ridestrideworcs.org

This year’s WDHCT Church Tour will explore the Hidden Churches of East Worcestershire. Join us on 8th October 2025 for a guided tour by coach of churches including Upton Snodsbury, Throckmorton, Pinvin, Besford and Peopleton. The tour costs £27 per person, and further information is available from Claire Strachan.
