St Michael’s, Baddesley Clinton features in an article in a recent copy of the Church Times. The church has fitted under-pew heating and installed a heat pump (purchased directly from the manufacturer). They have changed all their light bulbs to LED and changed their electricity tariff to 100 per cent renewable electricity. “This makes them one of the first churches in the UK to reach net zero.” For more information about St Michael’s and other eco-friendly buildings in the diocese of Worcester, take a look at the 4th November copy of the Church Times.

Ride + Stride 2020
Despite the current coronavirus crisis, we are still hoping that this important fund raising event can go ahead this year.

St Peter’s Church Cradley are holding Concerts to raise money in aid of the restoration of their clock dial.
An illustrated talk to be given at Whittington church on at 7.30pm on Friday 22 September.
Worcestershire and Dudley Historic Churches Trust urgently seek a volunteer Trustee to help administer their yearly Ride+Stride event.

Ride and Stride 2015 takes place on Saturday 12 September. This sponsored event funds most of the Trust grants made to churches throughout the year. Documents relating to the Ride and Stride can be downloaded here.
Work on the church history section is progressing. Almost all the Anglican churches in the southern part of the diocese of Worcester have been covered, and some of the non-conformist churches have been added.
Ride and Stride 2014 took place on the second Saturday in September. Thanks to all who took part! Next year (2015) documents to download, and more information, will be available on the website early in the year. To see the documents which were available for 2014 please click here
